The aim of my article is to attempt to answer the question of whether the profiling of the support for the unemployed has not become, contrary to the intentions of the legislator, legitimization of social exclusion. The Act of 14 March 2014, amending the Act on employment promotion and labour market institutions and some other acts, introduced three profiles: the help I profile for active people, the help II profile for people needing support and the help III profile for people staying away from the labour market. When introducing the profiles, the legislator clearly determined which forms of activation can be applied to the profiles I and II, leaving very little for the people who are assigned profile III. There- fore, under the present legal regulations, people belonging to profile III are often left to themselves, even though they are the customers demanding the greatest help and support and, taking into account the public funds spent, the dearest as they use the social transfers.
