The article looks at the issue of lifelong learning, i.e. learning throughout a person’s lifetime for either personal or professional reasons. In the first part, the author provides general background on lifelong learning, including UNESCO documents, EU programmes and Polish legal framework. The second section covers selected organizational forms of lifelong learning in Poland, with particular attention given to universities of the third age and open universities. Next, the Open University of the University.
