The article looks at various issues related to the length of working time across the European Union. First, the regulations concerning working time (daily, weekly, annually hours etc.) stipulated by labour law in Poland and other EU member states are covered. Next, the author discusses the data on average hours actually worked per person in employment. The figures are broken down by various demographic and occupational characteristics (sex, professional status, full‑time work, part‑time work etc.).
