Przedmiotem niniejszego artykułu było wskazanie niesienia pomocy nieletnim żebrakom przez instytucje kościelne w Poznaniu w drugiej połowie XIX w. i w pierwszych (do 1939 r.) latach XX w. Materiał źródłowy stanowiący źródło dociekań historyczno-społecznych stanowiły źródła archiwalne, czasopiśmiennictwo. Wśród zaprezentowanych sposobów niesienia pomocy dzieciom-żebrakom zostały wymienione instytucje zespolone z kościołem: parafie, towarzystwa, ukazani zostali również potencjalni darczyńcy łożący na biedne dzieci np.: arcypasterz, proboszcz, członkowie towarzystw/stowarzyszeń.

The subject of the article is the aid provided to minor beggars by church institutions in Poznań in the second half of the 19th century and in the first years of the 20th century (until 1939). The material used as a source of historical and social investigations included archive records and periodical press. Among the presented ways of helping children-beggars have been quoted institutions related to the church: parishes, societies as well as potential benefactors providing for poor children, e.g.: archshepherd, parish priest, members of societies/associations.
