Zarysowany projekt służy badaniu recepcji twórczości Jeana Racine’a z tzw. „kobiecej perspektywy”. Przedstawiono tło, na którego gruncie powstawała racine’owska poezja „nie o miłości”, budząca jednak emocje. Poglądy poety na kobietę i kobiecość kształtowała literatura i filozofia, począwszy od filozofów  starożytnych i Biblii po jansenizm, a z drugiej strony - dwór Ludwika XIV z jego  religijnością św. Franciszka Salezego.

The outlined project researches the perception of Jean Racine’s works from the co called ‘women’s perspective’. What is put forward is the background against which Racine’s ‘not about love’, yet emotional, poetry was written. The poet’s views on women and womanhood were shaped, firstly, by literature and philosophy, ancient philosophers and the Bible to begin with, and Jansenism at the end, secondly, by the royal court of Louis XIV with his Francis de Sales’like religious devotion.
