The subject of this work, teacher’s practice forming mathematical activity and creativity of the gifted pupils, is submerged in the issue of one of the contemporary trends in researching the methodology of teaching maths, which is called: creativity in teaching mathematics – theory, diagnosis and methodology, prospects. In this work I refer to certain synthesis of the knowledge to that point, see A. Pardała (2003; 2004; 2006), and I also articulate one of its aspects – the crucial importance of teacher’s intervention in the activity and creativity of a student who is solving a mathematical problem. I also syntheticaly present findings of research assessing teacher’s impact on stimulating a gifted student, in particular that which was done for doctoral thesis by E. Śmietana (2005a; 2005b). In the summary of my work, I put forward some remarks and final reflections related to mathematical activity and creativity in gifted students’ education
