Przedmiot artykułu stanowi koncepcja tworzenie w bibliotekach przestrzeni pracy kreatywnej, tzw. maker space. Celem jest określenie potencjału takich przestrzeni dla promocji usług bibliotecznych i budowanie pozytywnego wizerunku bibliotek różnego typu. W wyniku przeprowa­dzonych analiz sformułowano wnioski dotyczące szans i zagrożeń związanych z tworzeniem maker space w bibliotekach.

The subject of the article is the concept of introducing creative work spaces in the libraries, also called maker space. The aim is to identify the potential of such spaces with regards to the promotion of library services as well as building a positive image of various library types. As a result of conducted analysis, the conclusions with regards to the opportunities and threats associat­ed with creating a maker space in libraries are formulated.
