Symbolic representation of reality in early childhoodThe research was an attempt to explain the development of small children’s ability to symbolic representation of reality in the situation of disturbed linguistic development known as Specific Language Impairment – SLI. Studies were performed in a group of 99 children at 30 months of their lives. The studies were carried on one investigated group composed of children with risk of SLI and two control groups of children with average and high level of linguistic development. The results of the studies showed that there is a positive interrelation between development of symbolic play and linguistic development of children in early childhood.
