Searching for method to study magical thinking in childrenThe paper presents the results of the first attempts to construct Magical Thinking Questionnaire (Kwestionariusz Myślenia Magicznego, A. Kołodziejczyk) for children. Author presents psychometric value of the questionnaire (such as reliability, and discriminative power of questionnaire items) and results of 170 children aged 4–14 years. It was found that children reported some magical thinking across the range studied, and the level of magical thinking slightly declines with age. Results of this study also suggests that magical thinking depends on the domain – the level of magical thinking was higher for a psychological than a physical causal relations. Results encourage to explore this interesting and rarely examined topic.
