Surban Zone - an Outline of ProblemThe article describes the issues of suburban zones, which uncontrolled growth may cause huge spatial, economic and administrative problems. The main problem discussed here is a polish language definition for the meaning of “suburban zone” and its range. The short characteristic of its features is included as well. There are the descriptions of some actual definitions such as: “suburbs” and “urban sprawl”. Present researches of the changes of suburbs in Poland show that continuos spatial growth of them is noticed. Because of this process the balanced expansion must be ordered and definitely this task lays in competitions of the public administration.
