Presented article analyzed activities of European Commission in the fifi eld of social issues in 2013. The author has focused on in-depth study on Social Investment Package, which comprises of Commission communication entitled “Towards Social Investment for Growth and Cohesion – including implementing the European Social Fund 2014–2020” and many other recommendations and guidelines. Author also describes the social context of these documents.
