The paper describes the Night of Libraries initiative, the objective of which to promote libraries. It discusses the range and potential of night-time cultural events and presents the assumptions and goals of the Night of Libraries campaign as well as its role in integration, cultural development, education and entertainment. Moreover, the many events of the Night of Libraries are described, specifically the most unusual and interesting ones.

W artykule zaprezentowano przebieg Nocy Bibliotek - inicjatywy mającej na celu promocję instytucji bibliotecznych. Zwrócono uwagę na zasięg i potencjał nocnych imprez kulturalnych, omówiono założenia i cele akcji, wskazano jej funkcje integracyjne, kulturotwórcze, edukacyjne oraz rozrywkowe. Zaprezentowano ponadto bogatą ofertę biblioteczną Nocy Bibliotek, wskazując na nietypowe, ciekawe inicjatywy podejmowane podczas wydarzenia.
