The publication focuses on the post-war history of burials in the post-Jesuit church in Otyń. The church, also called ‘the castle’, was built at the beginning of the 18th century and was in the Jesuits’ possession until 1776. In the crypt under the altar, there were over 60 coffins with the bodies of the local Jesuits. The church was part of the parish of Otyń until 1956, when it was destroyed by the fire. Its ruins attracted undesirable and prying people who profaned the burials in the church crypt. The parish priest Władysław Szeremet ordered to collect all the body remains and bury them in the local parish cemetery. The post-Jesuit church has never been rebuilt.
