The author decided to supplement the article by Tadeusz Dzwonkowski, which appeared in the third volume of ‘Adhibenda’. Referring to the surviving archives and a list of documents compiled by Konrad Wuttke, T. Dzwonkowski reconstructed the history of the present seat of the Bishop’s Curia in Zielona Góra, where the prison was located centuries ago. Unfortunately, not all of his conclusions and findings are correct. This is particularly true of the first quarter of the 19th century. Inaccuracies resulted from a misinterpretation of the titles of the sewn files, as well as the fact that he did not know the other printed accounts.

Autor postanowił uzupełnić artykuł Tadeusza Dzwonkowskiego, który ukazał się w trzecim tomie „Adhibendy”. T. Dzwonkowski opierając się na zachowanych archiwaliach oraz na wykazie dokumentów zestawionym przez Konrada Wuttkego, podjął się rekonstrukcji dziejów obecnej siedziby Kurii Biskupiej w Zielonej Górze, w której przed wiekami mieściło się więzienie. Niestety nie wszystkie jego wnioski i ustalenia są prawdziwe. Szczególnie dotyczy to pierwszej ćwierci XIX wieku. Nieścisłości wynikły z błędnej interpretacji samych tylko tytułów poszytów, jak i nieznajomości innych drukowanych przekazów.
