EN

Financial independence, including expenditure of local government units is one of the most important factors affecting their activities. Their main goal is to meet the needs of the local community at the highest level. This study assesses the expenditure independence of Nowy Sącz and compares it with other cities with poviat rights in 2007-2017. To this end, the TOPSIS method was used. The results of the research were discussed and the conclusions resulting therefrom were presented.

Samodzielność finansowa, w tym wydatkowa, jednostek samorządu terytorialnego jest jednym z ważniejszych czynników wpływających na ich działalność, której głównym celem jest zaspakajanie potrzeb społeczności lokalnej na jak najwyższym poziomie. W opracowaniu tym dokonano ocen samodzielności wydatkowej miast na prawach powiatu ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem miasta Nowy Sącz. Ocenę samodzielności wydatkowej Nowego Sącza porównano z ocenami innych miast na prawach powiatu w latach 2007-2017. W tym celu posłużono się metodą TOPSIS. Omówiono wyniki badań i przedstawiono wynikające z nich wnioski.
