  • (1962), a musicologist (Dept, of Musicology, University in Poznań). Jabłoński’s musicological interests focus on the history and theory of opera, aesthetics of 20th century music, musical semiotics and methodology of musicology. He is author of the books: Krzysztof Meyer. Ein Komponistenportrait (Poznań, Koln, 1998) and Music as Sign (Poznań, 1999; Helsinki: Acta Semiotica Fennica, 2010). Jabłoński is editor-in-chief of the international musicological series Interdisciplinary Studies in Musicology, co-editor of the Poznań Studies in Opera and Res Facta Nova. He is also president of the editorial committee of Henryk Wieniawski’s Complete Works. From 1992 till 1994 he held the post of artistic director of the Opera House in Poznań. Since 1999 till 2008, he has been president of the Poznań Section of the Polish Composers’s Union and director of contemporary music festivals Poznań Music Spring. Jabłoński is author of many musicological papers published in Poland, Finland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Germany, Italy and the USA.
  • (Sciacca, 1962) studied piano at the Conservatory and Modern Letters Department at the University of Palermo. In 1996 he was awarded a PhD in History and Analysis of Music at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, with a thesis on L’opera pianistica di Karol Szymanowski (tutor: Professor Paolo Emilio Carapezza). Since 2006 he has been Researcher at the University of Palermo. He teaches History of Contemporary Music at the Course in Musicological Disciplines. His research deals with 20th-century music (with a focus on Debussy, Schònberg, Szymanowski, Sciarrino), Renaissance madrigals and analyses of the musicological views of Luigi Rognoni, whose archive and correspondence he catalogued and studied. His published volumes include Carlo Gesualdo Principe di Venosa, Palermo, L’Epos 2000, Luigi Rognoni e Alfredo Casella. II carteggio (1934-1946) e gli scritti di Rognoni su Casella (1935-1958), Lucca, LIM 2005, Salvatore Sciarrino. Itinerario di un alchimusico, Palermo, Unda Maris 2008 and Luigi Rognoni intellettuale europeo. Documenti e testimonianze, 3 voll. (/. Tesdmonianze; II. Carteggi; III. Scritti e interviste), Palermo, CRICD 2010. He is music critic of the daily «La Repubblica». Since April 2000 he has been a member of the National Order of Journalists.
