Egzegeza Mt 16, 13-20 dokonana w świetle uwarunkowań historycznych i doktrynalnych zaistniałych po roku 70 na terenie Judei, w jakich znalazł się ewangelista Mateusz wraz z reprezentowanym przez siebie judeochrześcijańskim Kościołem, wskazuje na obecne w tekście wyraźne akcenty i związane z nimi cele uniwersalistyczne. To przede wszystkim nimi kierował się on definiując zbawcze przesłanie Jezusa zmartwychwstałego o charakterze chrystologicznym i eklezjologicznym w ostatecznej już wersji redagowanej przez siebie Ewangelii królestwa w momencie przełomowym dla dalszych losów Kościoła palestyńskiego. Tak redaguje scenę jaka rozegrała się pod Cezareą Filipową, aby prowadzony przez niego Kościół do świata hellenistycznego zyskał całkowitą pewność doktrynalną, że tę samą władzę związywania i rozwiązywania w niebie i na ziemi jaką otrzymał od samego Jezusa Szymon Barjona by sprawować ją w ziemi Izraela, posiada również Szymon Piotr aby sprawować ją z identyczną skutecznością zbawczą na ziemiach pogan. Bez tej doktrynalnej pewności niemożliwa byłaby zapewne jego dalsza judeochrześcijańska egzystencja w świecie etnochrześcijan i pogan.

 Exegesis of Matthew 16:13-20, made in the light of historical and doctrinal terms occurred after 70 years in Judea, in which the evangelist Matthew was presented with its Judeo-Christian Church, indicates clearly existing in the text emphasis and related them to universalist objectives . They primarily guided him to define the saving message of Jesus the Risen of being Christological and Ecclesiological, in the final version edited by himself, in the Gospel of the Kingdom at the turning point for the fate of the Palestinian Church. The scene from Caesarea Philippi is edited in a manner which allows Peter to run his church in the Hellenistic world in order to gain complete doctrinal confidence that the same power of binding and resolving in heaven and on earth which he received from Jesus Simon Barjon to exercise it in the land of Israel, is also possessed by Simon Peter to celebrate it with the same saving efficiency in the lands of the heathen. Without this doctrinal certainty, it would probably be impossible to guarantee its further Judeo-Christian existence in the world of ethnochristians and gentiles.

Die Exegese von Mt 16, 30-20, durchgeführt im Licht der historischen und doktrinären Bedingungen im Gebiet von Judäa nach dem Jahr 70, in denen der Evangelist Matthäus und die von ihm repräsentierte Kirche sich befand, weist deutliche universalistische Akzente und mit ihnen verbundene Ziele auf. Sie wurden von ihm stark berücksichtigt, als er die Erlösungsbotschaft des auferstandenen Jesus formulierte. Die endgültige Version der Botschaft vom Reich hatte in diesem Moment des Umbruchs für die Weiterentwicklung der palästinischen Kirche einen christologischen und ekklesiologischen Charakter. Die Szene, die sich bei Cäsarea Philippi abspielte, wird auch so verfasst, damit die sich für die hellenistische Welt öffnende Kirche zweifelsfreie doktrinale Sicherheit erhalte, dass dieselbe Bindungs- und Lösungsgewalt im Himmel und auf der Erde, welche Simon Barjona von Jesus für das Gebiet Israels erhalten hat, jetzt auch Simon Petrus für die genauso heilseffiziente Mission bei allen Heidenvölkern gegeben wird. Ohne diese doktrinale Sicherheit wäre eine weitere judenchristliche Existenz in der Welt der Christen und Heiden voraussichtlich unmöglich gewesen.
