As it can be observed in Church documents schola cantorum plays a key role in the concern for proper quality of the sacred music. The Magisterium recommends that choirs should be established in every parish. Proper activity of schola cantorum may de facto result in introducing Pope’s and Vaticanum Secundum regulations into the life of the Church. Great responsibility rests upon the leader of a choir, who should be concerned about the quality of the sacred music in a particular parish. In view of numerous errors and breaking of the church law church musicians indicate urgent need to rethink the participation of choir in divine services. Also nowadays schola cantorum plays a very important role and may help to introduce liturgical renewal in the life of the Church.
