Key words: international trade, export, Poland, economic cooperation, directions of export,export goods, main directions of exportSummaryThe interchange of goods and services with foreign countries is one of the mostimportant forms of cooperation on an international level. The international traderefers to a commercial activity whose subject is a chargeable or equal interchangeof goods and services regarding groups of countries or the whole world. Due toa difference between the Polish import and export, showed by a positive or negativebalance of the international trade, or various directions of a shipment of goodsand services of the Polish origin, it is justified to learn about Poland's position inthe international commercial interchange. Taking into account the export's significanceas a factor improving an international competitive position, the influenceon the economic development, a volume and dynamics of a national income, ora situation on the employment market, the article focuses more of its attention onexport issues. Based on data gathered for the year 2013 the most important tradesand directions of the export of the Polish goods and services are presented, and inshort described are changes in the Polish economy’s share in the export, startingfrom the 1990s. The data was used to determine a place and importance of Polandin the international trade of goods and services. The importance of a foreigntrade’s share in an economic development of the country is presented. Moreover,the most important and the most attractive Polish exported goods are described,as well as countries being their main recipients.
