During the six months’ term of the second editor-in-chief of Wieści Polskie began to appear at shorter intervals, improved its layout, and streamlined its structure. It continued to inform its readers about life in occupied Poland, the Polish government and the Polish army in exile, and (at greater length) about the life of the refugee community in Hungary. Meanwhile Wieści Polskie became the target of repeated attacks by the Hungarian extreme right: they believed that the paper’s coverage of the Polish military in France jeopardized the political alliance of Hungary and Nazi Germany
