The paper describes the requirements arising from regulations and the adherence to the objectives of the Bologna process, which the university should obey if it wants to be entitled to provide education at a suitable level and confer degrees and titles in a dependable manner. By imposing and exercising quality control of standards, the General Council For Higher Education, Central Commission for Scientific Degrees and Title, and the National Committee of Accreditation reinforce the quality of education, although it is more appropriate to speak of minimal rather than high standards. It is in the university's best interest and it is its task to positively exceed those standards. We feel an obligation to do so in our concern for both the university's prestige and the demands of the competitive educational market.
