TThe article aims to introduce the concept of the Second Generation Internet, to present its advantages and the possibilities of usage, but also to point out some disadvantages and problems related to it. Nowadays Web 2.0 tools develop dynamically and some new internet communication solutions and possibilities of expressing opinions occur very rapidly. Tools such as RSS channels, tags, blogs, encyclopedias based on wiki mechanism and many other gain much popularity and help to improve the information flow in the Internet, but it is worth to consider some of the consequences of their usage. The awareness of the influence that Web 2.0 tools have on the Internet users and the IT education on using the Web 2.0 tools are crucial, especially for those, who form their abilities, such as children and the youth.
