Defining Death. A Contribution to Metathanalogy

This article analyses principles of defining death as well as usefulness of those definitions for medical practice. The practice needs a criterial definition, not metaphysical or existential one. Therefore, such medical definition of death, especially brain death, should deliver specific end-of-life criteria and the way of their credible verification in practice.
