In 1996, Alan Sokal published in the periodical 'Social Text' an article which was a parody of postmodernist authors achievements. He wanted to prove that they wrongly interpreted and used some mathematical and physical expressions and thus, their works were nothing but 'fashionable nonsense'. The author analyses Sokal's accusations and shows that in case of postmodernism the Rudolf Carnap's method of criticism of methaphysics can be used.
