Christian love as an ethical and social principle aims at good of man in his personal dignity. It takes its personalistic character from God who is the source and model of mercy. The author analyses and justifies the problem in its three aspects: 1. Biblical foundations of the concept of mercy; 2. Mercy as an internalized love (personalistic option); 3. Attributes and dimensions of personalism of love (participating in the good and dignity of a person, mutuality of the good we experience, faithfulness to personal dignity of a individual; 4.
