The article offers a preliminary outline of findings of many years of research into the history of 'Gazeta Polska', the greatest achievement of Bukovina Poles in press publishing under the Austrian rule. It provides an insight into detailed issues as well as a general description of the project from the point of view of a press historian, who is sensitive to facts and issues that have often been overlooked or belittled by other authors of historical publications on the topic.
