The purpose of the article is the presentation of the problems of power in an organization from the perspective of gender. Data concerning access to recources (among others: salary, remuneration, pension, promotion, information), and the problem of the leadership of women and men in organization will be presented. Two investigations will be discusssed: (1) the investigation concerning the opinions of the men - subordinates of women - on leadership in an organization, and (2) the investigation of personal characteristics (femininity-masculinity, locus of control, social competences, professional burnout) of women and men differing in the extent of power possessed - superiors and subordinates -in one professional organization.
