The paper presents the production and economic results of sustainable farms against the total of individual farms characterised by significant commercial production. The group of sustainable farms has been selected from among all individual agricultural farms conducting their accounting within the FADN (Farm Accountancy Data Network) system. Sustainable farms are those, which meet all the selected environmental and production criteria. Each of the farms characterised by a specific structure of crops and population of animals in the farm has been assumed as meeting the criteria of environmentally-friendly farm. Production and economic results of sustainable farms and of all individual farms are presented in unified groups in terms of their production potential. In order to distinguish between competitive groups of agricultural farms, selected indicators were used in the survey, taking account of the level of unit material cost of final production value (gross), share of subsidies in total in the income from a family agricultural farm and income from a family agricultural farm per one full-time employed family member (family farm income per family work unit (FFI/FWU)).
