The subject of the elaboration is tourism aimed at places of significant archeological discoveries – archeological tourism (archeotourism) considered as one of the forms of cultural tourism. The author presents historical examples of such tourist activity. Next, he analyses the meaning and attractiveness of a number of places in Poland from the point of view of archeotourism. The last part of the description presents the advantages resulting from including archeotourism in educational curricula, and requirements for effective ways of building the concepts of events and trips.
