Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie wybranych problemów zarządzania ryzykiem w zarządzaniu publicznym. Zarządzanie ryzykiem stanowi obecnie o nowoczesnej formule zarządzania publicznego. Równocześnie stanowi ono integralny element procesu kierowania współczesnymi organizacjami publicznymi. Należy je więc traktować zarówno w ujęciu funkcyjnym, jak i funkcjonalnym.

The aim of the article is to outline the risk management issues in public management. Risk management is currently a major constituent of modern public management. It is also a process which forms an integral part of governance in public organizations. Therefore, it should be analysed in terms of its functions as well as its functionality.
