Celebrations on the Occasion of the 96th Anniversary of the Establishment of NIK (ed.) The celebrations of the 96th anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Audit Office began with laying wreaths at the monument to Józef Piłsudski, and finished with a debate on the role of Supreme Audit Institutions in the contemporary world, held at the National School of Public Administration. The main point of the celebrations was the meeting at the Parliament. President of NIK Krzysztof Kwiatkowski Awarded by “Gazeta Finansowa” (ed.) The “Gazeta Finansowa” weekly awarded Krzysztof Kwiatkowski with the title of Financier of the Year 2014, for his courage in auditing the most important state institutions, politicians and administration. Father Jacek Stryczek Granted the Władysław Stasiak Award (ed.) This year, Władysław Stasiak Award has been granted for the first time, commemorating the late auditor and former director of one of NIK departments, who died tragically in the plane crash in Smoleńsk. The award has been granted to Father Jacek Stryczek, one of the founders of the Wiosna (Spring) Association, which has been realising the “Academy of the Future” project, and the “Noble Parcel” initiative.
