The article applies principles and dynamics of colonization of Vimperk region in the Middle Ages and Postmedieval period especially based on first written mention of villages. The first part consist of general analysis of colonization the whole Vimperk region based on history, geography, ground plans of villages and their field types, the second part is the study of village Skláře which was founded in the Middle Ages. The study of Skláře is based on general analysis of the area. There is also brief history of the village, ground plan of its urban area and supposed development of settlement area. The study is refilled with nondestructive archaeological research of the urban area.
