W artykule zostały omówione dwa modele uczelni - tradycyjny i przedsiębiorczy - oraz polskie doświadczenia związane z budowaniem przedsiębiorczej szkoły wyższej. Autorka omawia warunki niezbędne do powstania uczelni przedsiębiorczej, analizuje relacje między szkolnictwem wyższym a przemysłem oraz odpowiada na pytanie, czy uczelnia „nowoczesna” zawsze oznacza „przedsiębiorcza” . Analizując na tym tle doświadczenia polskie dostrzega, że koncepcja uczelni przedsiębiorczej jest w Polsce akceptowana, ale jej wcielanie w życie - ograniczone.

The article discusses two models of universities - the traditional one and the entrepreneurial one - as well as Poland’s experience in the establishment of an entrepreneurial university. The author discusses the conditions necessary to establish an entrepreneurial university, examines the relationships between higher education and industry, and answers the question: Is a “modern” university always an “entrepreneurial” one? Examining Polish experience in this regard, she observes that the concept of an entrepreneurial university is recognised in Poland, but its implementation is limited.
