Autor tekstu opisuje sytuację ukraińskiej humanistyki. W czasie radykalnych przemian politycznych również nauki humanistyczne, ich metodologia i podejście muszą ulec przebudowie. W latach dziewięćdziesiątych przetłumaczono na język ukraiński arcydzieła światowej humanistyki. Przetłumaczenie przede wszystkim literatury filozoficznej stworzyło warunki do autonomicznego rozwoju nauk humanistycznych na Ukrainie. Możliwe stało się posługiwanie kategoriami i pojęciami, których używa współczesny świat humanistyki. Niestety realia współczesnego świata naukowego na Ukrainie zmuszają uczonych do wahania pomiędzy oficjalnymi, naukowymi dogmatami, za którymi kryją się odpowiednie poważne instytucje i możliwości kariery, a postmodernistyczną retoryką zachodnich teorii, która stwarza iluzję uczestnictwa w Innym (współczesnym, modnym) paradygmacie naukowym. Poszukiwanie nowego modelu metodologicznego staje się jednocześnie poszukiwaniem własnej tożsamości naukowo-badawczej ze wszystkimi możliwymi drastycznymi i przesadnymi opiniami okresu przejściowego.

The author of the text describes the situation of Ukrainian liberal arts. At the time of radical political changes liberal arts, their methodology and attitude have to get restructured as well. In the 90s some masterpieces of liberal arts were translated into Ukrainian. Especially the translation of philosophy literature made provisions for autonomic development of liberal arts in Ukraine. It became possible to use categories and terms applied by the world of modern liberal arts. Unfortunately, the reality of modern world of science in Ukraine forces scholars to waver between official, scientific dogmas behind which the right, serious institutions and career possibilities are hidden, and the postmodern rhetorics of western theories which creates the illusion of participating in another (modern, trendy) scientific paradigm. Searching for a new methodological model at the same time is turning into searching for one's own science and research identity together with all the possible drastic and exaggerated opinions from the interim period.
