The purpose of this article is to address issues broadly analyzed by developmental psychology, looking for factors responsible for the full development of personality and completing the human life cycle. Author analyzes of factors supporting and enhancing personal development and developmental threats, including not taking up the developmental task of being able to create a love relationship. Discussion is made in the context of the phenomena presented in selected literary works of Samuel Beckett.
