The main goal of the paper is to introduce the tool which may be useful in the multicriterial decision making process of selecting the best software for integrating the core business operations in the institutions of higher education. The article was divided into three parts. The first one includes an overview of the integrated software systems. It also contains a description of the main university processes which have to be operationalized and rationalized within integrated application. In the second part, the analytic hierarchy decision making method has been proposed as a solution in questioned decision making problem. It is justified why the AHP method is worth applying when considering the optimal solution. The last part of the article presents practical use of the AHP method, which can be easily adjusted to the specific university environment.

Artykuł prezentuje wynik eksperymentu badawczego polegającego na wyłonieniu podstawowych atrybutów informacyjnych wymiarów ryzyka usług informatycznych. Analizę przeprowadzono w czterech wymiarach ryzyka stanowiących gwarancję usługi: dostępności, ciągłości, pojemności i bezpieczeństwa. W obliczeniach wykorzystano nieparametryczną, stochastyczną, addytywną metodę drzew regresyjnych MART wspartą współczynnikiem przyrostu informacji.

The article presents the result of a research on finding main IT services risk decision attributes. The analysis was performed in four risk dimensions: availability, capacity, continuity and security, which are components of service warranty. The calculations were conducted using stochastic, multiple additive regression trees method supported by information gain ratio.

Artykuł prezentuje zastosowanie dominacji stochastycznych w analizie portfela usług informatycznych. Przybliżona została ogólna charakterystyka portfela usług informatycznych oraz jego podstawowe źródła ryzyka. W części praktycznej pracy wykorzystano kryterium warunkowych dominacji stochastycznych w celu stworzenia rankingu usług oraz zbudowania granicy efektywnej portfela.

The article presents the stochastic dominance appliance in IT services portfolio analysis. In the first part we describe the general characteristic of IT services portfolio and its risk sources. Next, we utilize stochastic dominance to rank the services in the portfolio and build the efficient frontier.

The new approach to risk modelling in IT services has been introduced in the paper. The primary idea was to use financial and insurance risk measures and apply them to IT services portfolio contracts. This conception has led to formulate new definition of risk in IT services which has been proposed in the second part of the paper. The last section presents a stochastic IT services risk model which is built as an optimization, decision problem.

In the article, two approaches to IT services risk assessment has been described and compared. The first one is based on fuzzy methods in the opposite to the second one which uses probability. The following hypothesis has been proposed and proved by showing a practical example: fuzzy modeling is more effective than probabilistic in IT services risk assessment.
