In this contribution, the autor or the review of Igor Lukeš´s On the Edge of the Cold War (''Na pomezí historického románu'' [Almost a Historical Novel], Soudobé dějiny, vol. 22 (2015), nos. 3-4, pp. 254-39), which is under discussion here, reacts to Lukeš´s rejoinder. He briefly takes issue with various points of Lukeš´s argument and concludes that he would not change a single thing in his review, because Lukeš ignores a number of objections and elsewhere fails to provide satisfactory counterarguments for others.

Autor výše uvedené recenze (Na pomezí historického románu. In: Soudobé dějiny, roč. 22, č. 3-4, 2015,, s. 524-539) knihy Igora Lukeše Československo nad propastí, respektive On the Edge of the Cold War, tímto příspěvkem reaguje na Lukešovu polemiku. Sám stručně polemizuje s různými body Lukešovy argumentace a uzavírá, že na své recenzi by nezměnil vůbec nic, protože Igor Lukeš nevyvrátil žádnou z jeho námitek a řadu dalších ignoroval.
