The problem of evil is unavoidable and largely incomprehensible, and it is exactly for that reason that it is of great importance for our being. This aspect of Tischner’s philosophy can be successfully shown using the example of Andrei Srubov, the protagonist of The Chekist. By looking at Tischner’s agathology we receive hope that we are not doomed to be defeated by evil within our lifetime. What seems to be crucial in opposing evil is the realization that there is always a decision to be made.

The goal of the article is to show that in Chapter Four of Phenomenology of Spirit the aim is not to show the servant as the one who becomes independent of nature, but to show his escapism and its consequences. The main point of reference is the “master-slave” dialectic, with a heavy emphasis on Kojève’s interpretation. Apart from this one, the other important points of reference are the very beginning of Chapter Four, as well as Hegel’s understanding of skepticism. The article is organized in such a way that every part focuses on the analysis of at least one crucial quotation, each one constituting a Hegelian attempt to define freedom. It will show that Chapter Four provides us with only the beginning of long considerations on the question of freedom.

The article is about the Hegelian interpretation of the philosophy of Heraclitus. The first part of article demonstrates, in sixteen points, the meaning of Heraclitus’s dialectics. The second part of article shows this view in Hegel’s conception of actuality, at the end of “The Objective Logic”. The third part deals with the introduction to The Phenomenology of Spirit. The article will demonstrate and explain the crucial categories that are connected with the question of becoming. It will also show the connection between the Heraclitean intuition of change and Hegel’s view on philosophy as a whole.

The question of that which is good is the common thread tying all of Tischner’s philosophy, one must simply be willing to look for it. The task of finding it is important because otherwise one could be tempted to think that Tischner’s philosophy gradually grows incoherent when it comes to the topics of values and of dialogue. The most important traces of the problematic of the good in Tischner’s early writings is his theory of hope and his avoidance of metaphysics. An important image that will help us understand the problem of hope in Tischner is his view of Abel and Cain. The early question of hope, just like the later question of the good, is what precedes the taking up of the question of values.

The article explains the meaning of the cause and effect relation in Hegel’s thought. It explains what Hegel understands by freedom and what it has to do with causality. Hegel is trying convince us that this issue is insufficient to grasp the absolute with one’s mind, which, in Hegel’s opinion, is the one and only task of philosophy as a whole.

The article is concentrated on three major concepts in the Hegelian System, namely: Begriff (notion), Schein (appearance), and Erscheinung (phenomenon). It reveals the interrelationship of this terms and unveils them by showing their triadic notion-elements – their abstracts, negations and concretes (sometimes called "thesis, antithesis and synthesis").
