The fate of Holocaust survivors enjoys the unwavering interest of researchers who, in their publications, decide to give voice to the eyewitnesses of the tragic events of the Second World War. Anna Bikont also pursued this aim and, in her book Cena. W poszukiwaniu żydowskich dzieci po wojnie (The Price. In Search of Jewish Children after the War), she presented the stories of children rescued from the Holocaust. This article attempts to discuss and evaluate the author’s analysis and the conclusions she draws from it.

Losy osób ocalonych z Holocaustu cieszą się niesłabnącym zainteresowaniem badaczy, którzy na łamach swoich publikacji postanawiają oddać głos bezpośrednim świadkom tragicznych wydarzeń II wojny światowej. Cel ten przyświecał także Annie Bikont, która w pracy Cena. W poszukiwaniu żydowskich dzieci po wojnie przedstawiła historie dzieci wyratowanych z Zagłady. Niniejszy artykuł stanowi próbę omówienia i oceny dokonanej przez autorkę analizy oraz wyciągniętych przez nią na tej podstawie wniosków.

This article discusses and evaluates the Polish critical edition of Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf published by Bellona Publishing House. The translation and edition have been undertaken by Eugeniusz Cezary Król, an outstanding expert on German matters who has already selected and translated Joseph Goebbels’ Diaries. The edition of Mein Kampf prepared by him is the first complete Polish translation of Hitler’s work and has been provided with a scholarly commentary and critical apparatus.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest omówienie oraz próba oceny opublikowanej nakładem wydawnictwa Bellona polskiej edycji krytycznej Mein Kampf Adolfa Hitlera. Przekładu i opracowania podjął się Eugeniusz Cezary Król – wybitny niemcoznawca, który wcześniej dokonał już wyboru i tłumaczenia Dzienników Josepha Goebbelsa. Przygotowane przez niego wydanie Mein Kampf jest pierwszym pełnym polskim przekładem pracy Hitlera, który dodatkowo opatrzono naukowym komentarzem i aparatem krytycznym.
