Migration is a multidimensional and interdisciplinary phenomenon which analysis requires a lot of research perspectives. In this paper, I have focused on the identification of the phenomenon, indications on its conditions and forms. I have presented the research material, which concerned the ratio of parent staying in the country to the phenomenon of migration. Analysis of the results was carried out from the pedagogical perspective.

Praca we współczesnym świecie stanowi ważny element funkcjonowania zarówno poszczególnych jednostek, jak i całych społeczeństw. Rozwój nauki i techniki wymaga od pracownika stałego podnoszenia swoich kwalifikacji oraz umiejętności współdziałania w ramach struktur zawodowych. Ciągle rosnące oczekiwania wobec pracownika mogą i często powodują wystąpienie wypalenia zawodowego. W szczególności na to zjawisko narażone są jednostki, które w ramach obowiązków zawodowych podejmują relacje z wieloma osobami. Celem niniejszego opracowania jest zatem namysł nad obrazem nauczyciela akademickiego w kontekście syndromu wypalenia zawodowego, wskazanie na przyczyny wypalenia wśród tej grupy pracowników oraz możliwości działań optymalizujących ich pracę.

Working in the modern world is an important part of the functioning of both individuals and entire societies. The development of science and technology requires the employee to constantly improve his or her qualifications and skills of cooperation within professional structures. Constantly growing expectations towards an employee can and often cause professional burnout. In particular, individuals who undertake relationships with many people as part of their professional duties are exposed to this phenomenon. The aim of this study is therefore to reflect on the image of an academic teacher in the context of the professional burnout syndrome, to point out the causes of burnout among this group of employees and the possibilities of actions to optimise their work.

Celem artykułu jest przybliżenie idei budżetu partycypacyjnego jako wartości pe-dagogicznej ukrytej w praktyce społecznej. Autorzy analizując jego pedagogiczny potencjał, z jednej strony wskazują na możliwości jego wykorzystania dla rozwijania i wzmacniania kompetencji obywatelskich oraz budowania kultury dialogu i wzajemnej pomocy na rzecz zwiększenia zaangażowania Polaków w proces (współ)decydowania o kształcie lokalnej polityki. Z drugiej strony jego rosnąca popularność, stała się dla Autorów impulsem do krytycznego namysłu wokół procesów jego wdrażania i realizowania przez jednostki samorzą-dowe. Postawienie pytań o pedagogiczne walory budżetu partycypacyjnego oraz wskaza-nie możliwych barier w ich urzeczywistnianiu, stanowi osnowę podjętej w artykule dyskusji.

The aim of this article is to present the concept of participatory budget as a ped-agogical value hidden in social practice. The authors analyzing its pedagogical potential, on the one hand, indicate the possibilities of its use for developing and strengthening civic competences and building a culture of dialogue and mutual assistance to increase the involvement of Poles in the process of (deciding) the shape of local politics. On the other hand, its growing popularity has become an impulse for Authors to reflect critically on the processes of its implementation and implementation by local government units. Asking questions about the pedagogical values of the participatory budget and indicating possible barriers to their implementation is the basis of the discussion undertaken in the article.

Migracje zarobkowe stanowią nieodłączny element współczesnego świata. Otwarcie granic i rynków pracy spowodowało wzrastający dynamizm poszukiwań lepszego życia, nastawionego często na konsumpcję. Niestety, wyjazd rodzica/rodziców za granicę w poszukiwaniu pracy stwarza daleko idące konsekwencje dla funkcjonowania rodziny. Występuje rozluźnienie więzi emocjonalnych, a często rozkład rodziny. Celem niniejszego opracowania było zatem określenie, na ile migracja zarobkowa rodzica/rodziców wpływa na sytuację rodzinną dziecka w wieku gimnazjalnym. Badania zostały przeprowadzone od lutego do maja 2012 r., wśród 612 gimnazjalistów województwa pomorskiego.

Labour migrations are an integral part of the modern world. The opening of borders and labour markets resulted in increasing dynamism of searching for a better life, often aimed at consumption. Migration of parent/parents abroad in search of work creates far-reaching consequences for the functioning of the family. There is the loosening of emotional bonds, and often-family breakdown. Thus, the objective of this study was to determine to what extent the migration of the parent/parents affects the family situation of the child in middle school. The study was conducted from February to May 2012, among 612 middle school students from Pomeranian province.
