The article’s aim is to enunciate analysis the selected elements of venture capital market from 2009 to 2012. The author focuses on situation on Polish venture capital market outlining the geographic sources of funds and value of funds gained by all investors depends on stage of economic activity of the company. It is also reports about sectors bankrolled thanks to the venture capital funds. Finally, the author takes into consideration the issue of disinvestment process, the way venture capitalist realizes return on investment. The article has been prepared on the grounds of empirical data prepared by European Venture Capital Association.
