Celem artykułu jest ocena wiedzy pracowników na temat elastycznych form pracy. Badania przeprowadzone na licznej próbie przedsiębiorstw i zatrudnionych w nich pracownikach wskazują niski poziom wiedzy o elastycznych formach pracy. Poziom wiedzy pracowników zdeterminowany jest poziomem wykształcenia, wiekiem, formą zatrudnienia oraz funkcją zawodową w organizacji.

The aim of this article is to assess the knowledge of employees about flexible forms of work. Research was carried out on a large sample of enterprises and their employees. Studies indicate a low level of knowledge about flexible forms of work. The level of knowledge of employees is determined by the level of education, an age, a form of employment and an occupational function in the organization.

This article discusses the circumstances of established closer UE relations with India and their development until the end of 2006. The authoress focuses her attention on trade relations – which are most signifi cant to both sides. Other important issues are also presented, such as: cooperation within the World Trade Organization, Free Trade Agreement between India and EU, reform of the United Nations Security Council, EU’s dilemmas in relation to India’s nuclear status, and India’s politics towards EU and USA. In the last part the authoress analyses the current state of bilateral relations. The strategic partnership of the two giants is also indicated.

The aim of this article is to show the relationship between the number of employees and economic activity of the population in the Warmia-Mazury Region and in Poland from 2005 to 2014. This situation on the labour market was characterised by the values of factor activity, employment rate and unemployment rate. The source of information for the calculation was data from statistical offices – the provincial, Central and Regional Labour Office. The study showed positive changes expressed by increasing employment mostly in private enterprises belonging to the SME sector. These changes were significantly correlated with the values of unemployment rate.

Flexibility of the labour market and employment in atypical forms has been indicated for years as a potential source of more effective competition. However, both types of flexibility constitute important changes for employees that cause concern in terms of employment security. In this context, the aim of the research was to determine opinions about the advantages and disadvantages of employment in atypical forms. The research was carried out in a chain of pharmacies and among paramedics, i.e. in entities where flexible employment constitutes the basic employment relationship. In the respondents' opinion, there are more disadvantages than advantages of employment in flexible forms, and the main disadvantage of atypical work is employment insecurity.

Przedsiębiorstwa rodzinne są podmiotami dominującymi w gospodarkach poszczególnych krajów. W artykule przedstawiono specyficzne cechy oraz główne narzędzia sprawnego gospodarowania firmami rodzinnymi. Na podstawie studiów literatury stwierdzono, iż nie występują znaczące różnice w charakterystykach tych podmiotów w Hiszpanii, na Łotwie, w Polsce oraz w Turcji. W opinii właścicieli/ zarządzających tymi podmiotami sprawność ich działań zdeterminowana jest głownie systemem wartości ważnych dla członków rodziny wraz z uwzględnieniem wartości cennych dla wszystkich interesariuszy rodzinnego biznesu.

Family businesses are dominant entities in the economies of individual countries. The article presents specific features and main tools for efficient management of family businesses. Based on literature studies, it was found that there are no significant differences in the characteristics of these entities in Spain, Latvia, Poland and Turkey. In the owners' opinion (who may also be the managers of these entities), the efficiency of their actions is determined mainly by the system of values important for family members, including values which are significant for all stakeholders of the family business.

W artykule przedstawiono rezultaty badań dotyczących losów zawodowych absolwentów szkół wyższych na rynku pracy na przykładzie Wydziału Nauk Ekonomicznych (WNE) Uniwersytetu Warmińsko-Mazurskiego (UWM). Analizy prowadzono między innymi pod kątem: czasu po jakim podjęli pracę, zgodności zatrudnienia z kierunkiem i specjalnościąstudiów, branży i wielkości podmiotów, w których znaleźli zatrudnienie, oraz zajmowanych stanowisk. Podstawą wnioskowania były studia literaturowe oraz dane zawarte wraportach instytucji centralnych i wojewódzkich. Na podstawie zgromadzonego materiału empirycz-nego, kierując się subiektywnym osądem jakości kształcenia przejawiającym się w radzeniu sobie absolwentów WNE UWM na rynku pracy, można wystawić im ogólną ocenę dobrą: 40% byłych studentów „znalazło” bowiem pracę w okresie do sześciu miesięcy, 80% wyko-nuje pracę zgodną z kierunkiem studiów, dla 90% jest to praca w formie stałej umowy oraz blisko co piąty po trzech latach pracy zajmuje stanowisko kierownicze.

This article presents the results of the research on the professional fate of selected gra-duates on the labour market on an example of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Warmia and Mazury. Analyzes were conducted, among others in terms of time the graduates took a job, the compatibility of employment with the field and specialty of the study, the trade and the size of the business entity in which they found the job and the occupied position. The basis of the conclusions were literature studies and data included in the reports of central and provincial institutions. On the basis of the gathered empirical evidence, in the subjective judgment of the quality of education manifested in managing graduates on the labor market, it is possible to give a good mark in general, because 40% of graduates found a job in six months after studying, 80% of them work according to the field of study, 90% of them have a permanent contract of employment and close to every fifth graduate has a managerial position after three years working.

This article presents the results of studies of the impact of the Special Economic Zone on the situation in the labour market in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie voivodeship. Changes in the number of employees employed by economic entities operating in the Zone as well as changes in the indicators of economic activity of the population in the poviats of the voivodeship were analysed. Data collected during the empirical research showed no impact of the Zone on the improvement of the situation in the local (poviat) labour market.
