В статье подвергаются обзору вывески и рекламы, выступающие на стенах зданий и магазинов в Белостоке. Характерной особенностью языка вывесок является номинативность. Информация представлена коротко, используются почти исключительно имена существительные. Элементы рекламы на вывесках проявляются прежде всего в выборе названия - имени фирмы. Язык реклам более богат. Употребляются здесь в большем выборе имена прилагательные в формах всех трёх степеней сравнения, а также глаголы в формах настоящего времени 3 л. ед. и мн. ч. и в повелительном наклонении.
