Janusz Korczak’s literary writing can be perceived as an endeavour to change the world, to make the world fair and marked by greater solidarity. The reading of his texts draws attention of the recipient to the ways in which he characterises children and calls for the necessity of treating them rightly by adults. The author of the article focuses on the persuasiveness of narration, understood as a specific game played with the recipient, and the linguistic features used by Korczak in his literary works. The aim of the article is to show the linguistic features employed by Korczak in presenting theses regarding the situation of children and expressing his beliefs about the protection of children’s rights. The author analysed Korczak’s literary work entitled When I am Little Again. Stylistically diverse narration is subordinated to one goal – convincement of the recipient to the narrator’s arguments. Considered as a whole, the article is an attempt to combine a pedagogical perspective with the poetics of reception.

Literature remains somehow suspended between fiction and the truth, between pretending and authenticity. Each type of narration is, at the same time, a story and a creation, constructing the world portrayed on the experience of the speaker, taking into account the addressee, requirements of the genre selected and a set of ready-made schemas. The article analyses selected autobiographical works by J.J. Rousseau as a form of literary creation, as texts of culture that are rich in meaning, as the meeting place for the speaker, the text and the reader. It presents the attitude of the author/narrator towards the presented reality and the interesting process of its subjectivization, interpretation and evaluation.

The aim of the authors is to show the situation of the child in contemporary Poland at a time of a policy of ‘good change’ viewed through the lens of children’s rights guaranteed by the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The authors analysed a discourse of the Ombudsmen for Children’s interventions in order to reconstruct the image of being of the child in a new socio-political reality in Poland. The analysis shows the disagreement between the assumptions of the pro-family state policy and the situation of the child in Poland. Concern about child welfare presented by the governmental authorities is apparent and insufficient, which adversely affects children’s well-being and the quality of their lives.

The aim of the article is to compare selected Internet guides for teachers and parents. The results of a comparative analysis made by the authors are as follows: institutional senders prevail in terms of a category of a guide’s sender; a creation of a reality shared by its sender and receiver takes place in the guides; the language of the guides is used mainly in the informative and persuasive functions; there is a clear tendency to exaggerate threats posed by the participation in the digital world at the cost of recognizing opportunities for development. The authors of the article conclude with the statement that the discourse of the analysed guides supports traditional approach to perceiving and upbringing of children and young people.
