Modellierung und Derivation in der Phraseologie. Der Fall der hyperbolischen Verbalphraseme im Deutschen

The paper deals with selected hyperbolic verbal phrasemes of German and their formation mechanisms. Hyperbolic metaphor and hyperbole are present as semantic-rhetorical foundations of the formation of the studied phrasemes and are not only based on semantic-syntactic combinations within the phraseological components, but also on corresponding cognitive structures (metaphor models and metonymies). Both types of operations are explained in the article. The formation mechanisms of hyperbolic verbal phrasemes enter into larger areas of study of phraseology: modeling of phraseological systems and phraseological derivation. Hyperbolic verbal phrasemes as typically idiosyncratic units prove to be modelable, i.e. describable in series within syntactic-semantic schemata. They are also subject to lively derivational processes, i.e. they form the basis for the emergence of new phrasemes. Modeling and derivation are thus important factors in the formation of hyperbolic verbal phrases and are also explained in the article.

Antyprzysłowia są grupą aforyzmów wykazujących bezpośrednie powiązania z formami i treściami przysłów. Powstają na drodze transformacji zdań przysłowiowych, poprzez różnorakie postaci humoru, ironii, parodii, interpretację dosłowną i tzw. efekty wyobcowania. O ile przysłowia zwykło się identyfi kować z „mądrościami ludowymi”, antyprzysłowia uważa się za „prawdy przekręcone”. Okazuje się, że antyprzysłowia mają długą tradycję zarówno jako rodzaj tekstu, jak i zabieg literacki, ich treści zaś stanowią barometr życia kulturalnego i społecznego. Ocenę wartości kulturowej antyprzysłów ułatwia rozważenie samego zagadnienia kultury i form jej realizacji.

Der Beitrag thematisiert die Problematik der dephraseologischen Derivation und die Frage der sog. Einwortphraseologismen. Unter Anwendung von etymologischen Kriterien werden diachrone Analysen von verbalen Einheiten des Typs sich (k)einen abbrechen, es jdm. angetan haben, jdm. etwas aufbinden, jdm. einheizen durchgeführt. Aus sprachhistorischer Perspektive wird der gegenwärtige Status solcher Einheiten festgelegt. Soweit die verbalen Ausdrücke Ergebnisse von regulären Metaphorisierungsprozessen darstellen und syntaktisch keine elliptischen Bildungen sind, werden sie als monolexeme Einheiten angesehen. Die metaphorischen und zugleich elliptischen Einwortausdrücke können mit dem Terminus Einwortphraseologismen im engeren (etymologischen) Sinne erfasst werden.

The paper deals with the issue of dephraseological derivation and the question of the so-called one--word phrases (German term Einwortphraseologismen). Using etymological criteria, diachronic analyses of German verbal units of the type sich (k)einen abbrechen, es jdm. angetan haben, jdm. etwas aufbinden, jdm. einheizen were carried out. The current status of such units was determined in the historical context of the language. To the extent that the verbal expressions represent the results of regular metaphorical processes and are not syntactically elliptical formations, they were regarded as mono-lexical units. The metaphoric and at the same time elliptical one-word expressions can be described with the term one-word- phrases on etymologic grounds (German term Einwortphraseologismen im engeren (etymologischen) Sinne).

Der Beitrag enthält einen theoretischen und methodologischen Umriss der interdisziplinären Untersuchungen der Phraseologie, in dem wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse der Etymologie und Kultursemiotik integriert werden. Das angebotene Modell platziert Phraseologismen in den Kontext der sprachhistorischen Recherche, die eins der größten Defizite der aktuellen Phraseologieforschung bildet. Die dargestellte Methodologie umfasst auch komparative interlinguale Forschungsaspekte.

The paper contains a theoretical and methodological outline of research into phraseology which integrates evaluations of etymology and the semiotics of culture. The research model presented places the phraseological units in the context of the historical research of language which is one of the most remarkable deficits in the contemporary research into phraseology. The methodology presented covers also some comparative interlingual aspects.

Artykuł zawiera zarys teoretyczny i metodologiczny badań interdyscyplinarnych nad frazeologią integrujący rozpoznania naukowe etymologii i semiotyki kultury. Opisywany model plasuje frazeologizmy w kontekście badań historycznojęzykowych, które stanowią jeden z najdotkliwszych deficytów współczesnej frazeologii. Przedstawiona metodologia obejmuje także komparatywne aspekty interlingualne.
