Kwestia utraty statusu odpadu ma niezwykle doniosłe znaczenie w kontekście ponownego wykorzystania określonych grup odpadów. Pomimo stosunkowo obszernego materiału normatywnego regulującego tę kwestię pojawiają się jednak pewne wątpliwości interpretacyjne niepozwalające jednoznacznie stwierdzić, w jakich sytuacjach i w drodze jakiej procedury należy stwierdzić, że określony odpad utracił status odpadu i może być wykorzystywany jako „produkt”.

The issue of end-of-waste criteria is extremely significant in the context of the re-use of certain waste groups. Despite a relatively significant volume of legislature regulating this issue, some doubts of interpretation arise not allowing to state explicitly in what circumstances and by way of what procedure it should be noted that certain waste according the end-of-waste criteria can be used as a “product”.
