Artykuł porusza problematykę związaną ze studiowaniem dziennikarstwa muzycznego w Polsce. Autorki podjęły się próby zbadania i przeanalizowania wśród studentów dziennikarstwa muzycznego Dolnośląskiej Szkoły Wyższej motywów podjęcia studiów, oczekiwań względem tej specjalności oraz zdobytych umiejętności, które mogą być przydatne w przyszłej pracy zawodowej. Ponadto, zaprezentowane zostały wyniki badań preferencji muzycznych kandydatów i ewolucja tych zainteresowań, gdyż jest to jeden z istotniejszych aspektów w procesie kształcenia specjalnościowego.

The article focuses on issues connected with studying music journalism in Poland. The authors did researches on students of this specialization in University of Lower Silesia and tried to analyse their motives of taking up studies, expectations towards music journalism and skills gathered during the process of studying which might be valuable in future job. The article also presents the outcomes of the research on the music preferences of both candidates and students. A statistically significant evolution of those preferences was observed. It is especially important for the fact that this is one of crucial aspects in speciality education.
