The article concerns the way of developing loyalty to the Church. The necessity to develop loyalty with regard to the people who constitute the ecclesial community and to build it with regard to the people whose loyalty has decreased is an urgent problem nowadays. The processes of laicization and secularization in Poland influence loosening of the bonds with the Church and often result in leaving the Church. This situation forces priests to counteract the effects of the processes. In their efforts they can make use of the principles developed on the basis of economics. The ones which are particularly effective, as it seems, are the principles used in the affiliate marketing which aims at customer retention and which is based on cooperation. The article takes up the issue of developing loyalty to the Church through common values, strengthening self-confidence, maintaining contacts and recognition as well as through engagement and prizes.

The article has raised the issue of the implications of papal teaching during World Youth Day in Krakow in 2016 for the youth ministry, and especially for the youth ministry in Poland. At the beginning the condition of today’s youth was shown in terms of the teaching of Pope Francis. Then, there were defined the main objectives of the pastoral care of young people based on the analysis of the Pope’s teaching. They are: assistance in meeting God, help in the discovery of the own vocation and help to make the apostolate proper to all the baptized. In the framework of these objectives there have been identified some specific, detailed tasks for clergy working with young people and their lay volunteers.

This article presents the Church’s vision for the pastoral formation of candidates for the priesthood. Specifically, the concept for formation contained in the new The Gift of the Priestly Vocation: Ratio Fundamentalis Institutionis Sacerdotalis (2016) will be presented in light of the teachings of the Second Vatican Council and post-conciliar popes, including St. John Paul II, Benedict XVI, and Francis. Local churches, including those in Poland, can adapt and implement this concept of pastoral formation in major seminaries. This analysis will focus on initial pastoral formation, the nature and aims of pastoral formation, and the study of pastoral theology and pastoral practices in preparation for the priesthood.

The Church points to the fact that disabled people have the right to get married and start a family. This right results from those people's personal dignity that has been given to them by God - the Creator. The possibility to start marital-familial communities by the disabled is a challenge for pastorate, as disability of the spouse negatively influences the realization of all the functions of the family. The basic role in the pastorate of the families of disabled people is played by the parish. Parish pastors should meet the spiritual and material needs of the disabled and their families. Their work should be permanent and systematic. Pastorate realized on the higher level, especially on the level of the diocese, has a great significance. It complements parish pastorate, meeting the spiritual, psychological, rehabilitation and social needs of the disabled and their families. A similar role is played by associations and foundations that are guided in their work by the Church's social teaching.

A dean is one of the closest associates of a bishop in a diocese. He embodies unity between the bishop and decanate clergy. His duties involve organizing, coordinating and controlling pastoral work in a decanate. He also cares for building a fraternal community of the clergy. Dean's ministry is characterized by its ancillary character. The qualities required from a candidate for this function are mature personality, theological knowledge and pastoral experience.

Od początku swego istnienia Kościół podejmował opiekę nad ludźmi niepełnosprawnymi. Jednym z jej elementów jest troska o to, by angażowali się podmiotowo w życie jego własnej wspólnoty. W artykule zostały ukazane dążenia współczesnego Kościoła do aktywnego angażowania osób niepełnosprawnych.

The organization of the pastoral care in the Polish Catholic Mission in Osnabrück is based on the parish pastoral care. The Mission implements ordinary and extraordinary mini-stry. Proclaiming God’s Word, implemented through homily and catechesis, is done in Polish. It is assigned for children, young people and adult Catholics. Ministering of the worship of God is done according to the customs of the Church in Poland. The ministry of all the sacraments which can be administered in the parish is a regular practice, including the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation which can be ministered individually. Devotions as well as blessings are administered just like in Poland. The faithful attach great importance to maintaining the Polish tradition, especially to the blessing of food served at Easter as well as to the tradition of sharing the wafer during Christmas Eve. What is more, the Mission actively supports charities for the benefit of individuals and communities of believers mainly in Poland and in the eastern Europe. Other activities include pastoral pilgrimage and social work with children and young people.

Kościół został powołany do wychowania swoich członków do pokoju.

The Church was given the task of guiding Her members in the ways of peace. The parish plays a special role in realizing this mission, since it is the place where the individual meets God in His word, in the Sacraments, in prayer, and in brotherly love. In the parish, education in the value of peace is implemented first by building unity between the believers on the basis of brotherly love. It is also achieved through the deepening of one's awareness of and personal responsibility for peace, as well as by fostering the attitudes that support the building of unity and peace. The process of instructing and guiding believers toward peace is carried out by both the clergy and the laity, especially through families and members of religious associations.
