The core of the article is the comparative analysis and interpretation of two poems dedicated to St. Brother Albert: „Brother Albert’s Monastery” by Tadeusz Kubiak and „Meeting with Brother Albert” by Anna Kamieńska. Author’s thesis leads to the conclusion that Brother Albert as a person is not autonomous theme in Kamieńska and Kubiak work - on a different level of understanding poets treat Brother Albert’s figure more like a pretext to unveil their own reflections and artistic thoughts.

W artykule dokonano porównawczej analizy i interpretacji dwóch wierszy poświęconych Bratu Albertowi. Są to kolejno: Tadeusza Kubiaka Klasztor Brata Alberta oraz Anny Kamieńskiej Spotkanie z Bratem Albertem. W konkluzji autor doszedł do wniosku, że dla obojga poetów – choć w różny sposób i w różnym stopniu - postać Brata Alberta nie stanowi jednak autonomicznego tematu i problemu twórczości, ale jest raczej traktowana jako pretekst dla ich własnych przemyśleń i poszukiwań artystycznych.

W artykule dokonano przeglądu odwołań do literatury współczesnej w pracach naukowych Mariana Maciejewskiego. Wskazano dwa rodzaje nawiązań. W publikacjach dotyczących romantyzmu zauważono wiele wskazań na kontynuację tej tradycji w literaturze współczesnej, zwłaszcza liryki lozańskiej (m.in. Cz. Miłosz, T. Różewicz, E. Bryll) i gawędy szlacheckiej (M. Wańkowicz, K. Brandys, A. Kijowski, M. Białoszewski i in.). Natomiast w pracach poświęconych zaproponowanej przez Maciejewskiego „interpretacji kerygmatycznej” zwrócono uwagę na większą frekwencję tekstów współczesnych, szczególnie poetyckich. Więcej miejsca poświęcono jedynemu opublikowanemu przez Badacza artykułowi, w całości dotyczącemu literatury XX wieku, tj. Kerygmatycznej interpretacji przesłania Pana Cogito.

In the article a review is done of references to modern literature in academic works by Marian Maciejewski. Two kinds of references are indicated. In publications concerning Romanticism many indications have been noticed to a continuation of this tradition in modern literature, especially of the Lausanne lyric (among others, works by Cz. Miłosz, T. Różewicz, E. Bryll) and of the gentleman's tale (M. Wańkowicz, K. Brandys, A. Kijowski, M. Białoszewski and others). On the other hand, in works devoted to the “kerygmatic interpretation” proposed by Maciejewski the reader's attention is drawn to a greater frequency of modern texts, especially poetical ones. More space is devoted to the only article published by the researcher, that is solely concerned with literature of the 20th century, namely, “Kerygmatic interpretation of Mr Cogito's Message”.

Jerzy Ficowski’s biblical fragments The article is a general and panoramic attempt at defining the basic forms of the presence of Bible in Jerzy Ficowski’s poetry. It was estblished that biblical themes are not central elements of the poetic world of the author of Inicjał. Nevertheless, they are constantly present throughout his works. The poet most often refers to the Old Testament. In particular, Ficowski is almost obsessively focused on the motif of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and original sin. The theme is present in a number of poems written during the period of a couple decades. Those poems are the subject of a more detailed analysis and interpretation of the present article.
