The article defines the concept of "information warfare" and draws attention to the main methods and means used in it. The author explains why it is so important for the recipient to know the methods of verifying information and to acquire skills related to functioning in the information and media space. On the example of Russian media messages, the most common distortions and manipulations accompanying the information war in Ukraine have been indicated. The main purpose of the article is to sensitize readers to the necessity of a critical approach to the content published in the media and checking the facts regarding the information war waged by Russia against Ukraine.

W artykule zdefiniowano pojęcie „wojny informacyjnej”, zwrócono też uwagę na główne metody i środki w niej wykorzystywane. Autorka wyjaśnia, dlaczego tak ważna jest dla odbiorcy znajomość metod weryfikacji informacji oraz nabycie umiejętności związanych z funkcjonowaniem w przestrzeni informacyjnej i medialnej. Na przykładzie rosyjskich komunikatów medialnych wskazano najczęstsze przekłamania i manipulacje towarzyszące wojnie informacyjnej na Ukrainie. Głównym celem artykułu jest uwrażliwienie czytelników na koniczność krytycznego podejścia do publikowanych w mediach treści i sprawdzania faktów dotyczących wojny informacyjnej prowadzonej przez Rosję przeciwko Ukrainie.
